This set of Danish tutorials are less specific and more targeted at those who want to get a range of different things from learning Danish. Even though all novice students will cover survival Danish: enough Danish to make a visit to the country or make good contacts with the locals, but what do you do from there? It depends on your needs. Those who have benefitted from these lessons have been those moving or investing overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people who love to travel all over the world, those interested in Danish culture, and those who just want to pass a specific examination in Danish.
These Danish lessons are driven towards people who have a requirement to learn Danish to bolster their work output. For novices, you will find it useful to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and once you have become more proficient then reading and writing will come to the fore. Typical students include those concerned with import/export, those seeking work in multinational companies, international negotiations, and anyone working with international colleagues or administration. Even on our most rudimentary beginners lesson, students can expect to finish the lesson with decent telephone and e-mail Danish, as well as a good enough grip on the language for a short trip to the country.
2 or more people can benefit studying Danish together as these Danish lessons are also offered to groups (Two-to-One Danish Lesson or Small Group In-Company Danish Lesson). Every student must have the same degree of knowledge of the language, the same business or language needs and the ability to study at the same time and place as everybody else. The booking has to be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advocate group sessions of more than 6-8 people, though Taster Danish Lessons can be experienced by up to 12 people.
Danish used to use a Runic alphabet, but nowadays is written in the standard Latin alphabet, with the addition of three other letters: æ, ø, and å
Danish used to be spoken by many people in the north of England, and some terms (like 'gate' being used in road names) still survive in areas like Yorkshire
Verbs do not change form in Danish except to indicate tense

Aurora
Aurora is the third largest city in the scenic state of Colorado. Once a historical footnote, (in 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower recovered from a heart attack there) the city is now considered an ideal place to live because of the bucolic setting and it's close to proximity to Denver, the biggest and most well-known urban area in the state. In fact, it is routinely named in annual 'Healthiest Places to Live' lists among American cities. For this reason, many of Denver's professional athletes and business luminaries call Aurora home. The city experienced a significant period of growth in the 1980's when the population doubled going from 75,000 to 150,000 people in the span of just under ten years. Aurora is predominantly white, as are most cities in Colorado, but over 20% of the residents are Hispanic and 5% are Native American. Learning a new language Aurora can open the door to new adventures, business opportunities and life experiences.
