Our native-speaking qualified English teachers can guide you and your group at your work or at home, at a time convenient to you. Classes can take place on any day of the week - even weekends - morning, afternoon or evening. If needs be, if meeting at your office or home is not suitable, you can take your lessons at the trainer's office. Study materials are supplied for you.
English lessons of this type are broader and are aimed towards students with a variety of requirements. While all beginner level students will cover survival English - needed for short visits to countries where English isn't widely spoken, or if you wish to 'go local'; those studying English usually go in different directions at this point, depending on what they need. Those who have benefitted from these English classes have been those investing in or buying property overseas, those married to overseas nationals, people setting off on a round-the-world trip, enthusiasts in English culture, and those enthusiastic to pass a specific exam in English.
Those who would benefit the most from these English tutorials are those who feel they need to learn English to help them out in their business lives. For starters, learning salutations and business etiquette is integral; once these have been practiced then reading and writing lessons can start. Typical studiers have been those involved in international import/export, negotiations and acquisitions, those in multinational companies requiring another language, and those working in any way with international governments and relevant administration. Just our simplest lesson for beginners will have students finishing the lessons with basic telephone and e-mail English, as well as survival English should a visit to the country be necessary.
Lessons in English are also accessible for 2 or more studying in tandem (Two-to-One English Lesson or Small Group In-Company English Lesson). All those involved must have around the same experience of the language, similar needs of areas of proficiency, and must be able to work at the same time and place. Bookings must be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advise classes of more than 6-8 people, although In-Company Taster English sessions can be run with as many as 12 people.

I?d just got married and my husband had just got a job as a civil engineer in Frankfurt. We went out there together and my idea was to get a job shortly after getting there. As you can imagine, I was very excited, even rather apprehensive, as I?d never been abroad before. My first priority was to get settled in this huge city.
As we got off the plane I recall noticing how cold it was. I did not foresee this at the time when I sat in the comfort of my home thinking about the place I would be moving to. It took me by surprise. However, I did not let it affect my decision that coming here was the best option.
As we made our way to our new home I couldn?t help notice the architecture and everything else that was new to me here. Although I could speak German, I was still feeling a bit frightened about being new to the place. What would people think of me? That was the question that ran around inside my head.
It was somewhat overwhelming, however, to see how quickly I managed to become confident and happy living in Frankfurt ? especially when my husband went off to work everyday and I had to make new friends and find a job, of course.
Being a qualified, bilingual teacher did have its advantages being in Germany and within a short space of time I managed to get a job teaching in a grammar school, which I enjoyed immensely. As time passed by, I thought of home less and less and was happy with my new life in Frankfurt. It has given me a whole new perspective on life - to live everyday as if it's your last!

Cleveland
Language learners seeking native speaking teachers are spoilt for choice in Cleveland. Ohio's second largest city and the "most livable" city in the United States according to a 2005 study from The Economist, Cleveland also boasts of substantial ethnic diversity. Once claiming to have the highest concentration of Hungarians outside of Budapest, there are also sizable communities of Polish, Romanians, Czechs, Slovaks, Ukrainians and Lithuanians in Cleveland. If learning an Eastern European language isn't your thing, never fear. There are also significant numbers of people of German, Italian, Arabic, Greek, Korean and Han Chinese ethnicity, which translates into the perfect opportunity to practise with someone else in their mother tongue! Speaking of which, get down to Little Italy, Slavic Village and Tremont and be sure to treat your tongue and taste buds - international cuisine has played a large role in defining the regional cuisine of Cleveland.
