French 1 to 1 General

French lessons of this type are broader and are aimed towards students with a variety of requirements. While all beginner level students will cover survival French - needed for short visits to countries where English isn't widely spoken, or if you wish to 'go local'; those studying French usually go in different directions at this point, depending on what they need. Those who have benefitted from these French classes have been those investing in or buying property overseas, those married to overseas nationals, people setting off on a round-the-world trip, enthusiasts in French culture, and those enthusiastic to pass a specific exam in French.

French 1 to 1 Business

These French lessons are driven towards people who have a requirement to learn French to bolster their work output. For novices, you will find it useful to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and once you have become more proficient then reading and writing will come to the fore. Typical students include those concerned with import/export, those seeking work in multinational companies, international negotiations, and anyone working with international colleagues or administration. Even on our most rudimentary beginners lesson, students can expect to finish the lesson with decent telephone and e-mail French, as well as a good enough grip on the language for a short trip to the country.

Arlington

Nestled in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, Arlington is one of the most affluent areas in the Lone Star State. A unique combination of enterprise and entertainment – from General Motors to the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball – has helped this once sleepy town transform into the 50th largest city in the United States, and the biggest city without any form of public transportation. Adding to the prestige and economy of Arlington in 2009 will be the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are the world's most recognizable sports team and they have chosen Arlington as the home of their new 1.1 billion dollar stadium. The Hispanic community in Arlington makes up 20% of the population, so learning Spanish is an essential part of doing business there. And thinking in terms of the future, 6% (and growing) of the residents of Arlington are of Asian descent and speak Japanese, Mandarin or Korean – making each a language worth knowing in this city of almost 350,000 people.
