Our French speakers, fully qualified to teach their native tongue, can train you and, if need be, the rest of your group at a time that is suitable to you, at your home or place of work. Sessions can take place on the day of your choosing - even weekends - and at the time you want: whether it be morning, afternoon or evening. If circumstances arise where your home or office is not convenient, the classes can be held at your trainer's office. Resources for the course are provided for you.
These French lessons fit a broader spectrum, and can be useful for those who need different things from the language. Most beginner students will have a handle of survival French by the end of their course, which will provide them without enough French to communicate at least at a basic level during short trips to the country, but those who require more would benefit greatly from these sessions. Typical students have been those eager to travel all over the world, those buying overseas property, those with foreign spouses, aficionados of French culture and those who just wish to pass a particular French exam.
These courses in French are meant for those that feel that learning French would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefitted have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required, and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even on our most fundamental beginner's course, students can anticipate ending the course with basic telephone French and e-mail French skills for communicating, as well as survival French if a short visit to the country is needed.
If there are 2 or more of you with the same level of French, the same targets within the language, and be able to study at the same time and location, then you'll be happy to know that these French courses can also be made available for Two-to-One French Courses or Small Group In-Company French Courses. Listen & Learn do not generally recommend classes of more than 6-8 people, although Taster courses in French can run with up to 12 people. Bookings must be made for all participants at the same time.
Many African countries are former French territories and have retained French as their national language; including Cameroon, the Congo, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Madagascar and the Seychelles
With 175 million worldwide speakers, French is an extremely popular language to take up as a second language
French has only two genders - masculine and feminine - and some verb tenses need auxiliary verbs, usually to have ('avoir') and to be ('être')
French Testimonials
"I needed to learn some French because I'll be relocating to Canada next year. My Business French course was great - my teacher was real professional, and if I had any questions she was happy to answer them. Can't believe how quickly I got into it."
Henderson
With Las Vegas only a few miles away, it is easy to forget that Henderson has grown to become one of the 100 largest cities in America thanks to a population that currently stands at 250,000 people. Henderson sits adjacent to Las Vegas, but the two cities could not be any more different. Henderson is as conservative as Las Vegas is wild. For that reason, many business executives from the gaming industry have moved their families into the upscale homes that have been built in Henderson over the past decade. With the transient population and never-ending stream of tourists that flow in and out of the Las Vegas/Henderson area, knowing more than one language always comes in handy. In fact, there are few better ways to enrich yourself or your business opportunities than learning a new language.
