Georgian lessons of this type are broader and are aimed towards students with a variety of requirements. While all beginner level students will cover survival Georgian - needed for short visits to countries where English isn't widely spoken, or if you wish to 'go local'; those studying Georgian usually go in different directions at this point, depending on what they need. Those who have benefitted from these Georgian classes have been those investing in or buying property overseas, those married to overseas nationals, people setting off on a round-the-world trip, enthusiasts in Georgian culture, and those enthusiastic to pass a specific exam in Georgian.
These Georgian lessons are driven towards people who have a requirement to learn Georgian to bolster their work output. For novices, you will find it useful to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and once you have become more proficient then reading and writing will come to the fore. Typical students include those concerned with import/export, those seeking work in multinational companies, international negotiations, and anyone working with international colleagues or administration. Even on our most rudimentary beginners lesson, students can expect to finish the lesson with decent telephone and e-mail Georgian, as well as a good enough grip on the language for a short trip to the country.
The Georgian lessons are also available for 2 or more people studying together (Two-to-One Georgian Lesson or Small Group In-Company Georgian Lesson). All participants must have the same level, the same business or general language needs and be able to study at the same time in the same location. The booking must be made for all participants at the same time. Listen & Learn do not recommend group classes of more than 6-8 people although In-Company Taster Georgian Lessons can be run with up to 12 people.
Babylon
With a population just over 200,000, Babylon, New York is able to crack the list of the 100 most populous cities in the United States. Best known for the Fire Island area at its southernmost tip which hosts a large summer community of gay and lesbian vacationers, Babylon has seen growth and prosperity in other areas in recent years, including: technology spending and large infrastructure projects that have greatly enhanced the quality of life there. Babylon is nowhere near as big as Manhattan, but still boasts a relatively high median income of over $60,000 per year thanks to many residents who have achieved financial success in New York City and then chosen to take up residence in this peaceful town. 10% of Babylon is made up of Hispanic or Latino individuals making Spanish the second language of choice in local schools and the business community. And with the international airports of New York City close by, it's easy to jet off to exotic foreign locales after you learn a new language in Babylon.
