Our Georgian speakers, fully qualified to teach their native tongue, can train you and, if need be, the rest of your group at a time that is suitable to you, at your home or place of work. Sessions can take place on the day of your choosing - even weekends - and at the time you want: whether it be morning, afternoon or evening. If circumstances arise where your home or office is not convenient, the classes can be held at your trainer's office. Resources for the lesson are provided for you.
These Georgian lessons fit a broader spectrum, and can be useful for those who need different things from the language. Most beginner students will have a handle of survival Georgian by the end of their lesson, which will provide them with enough Georgian to communicate at least at a basic level during short trips to the country, but those who require more would benefit greatly from these sessions. Typical students have been those eager to travel all over the world, those buying overseas property, those with foreign spouses, aficionados of Georgian culture and those who just wish to pass a particular Georgian exam.
Georgian lessons of this type are aimed towards those that need to learn Georgian to aid them with their employment. For those just starting out, it is integral to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and reading and writing can be adopted once the simple precepts are out of the way. Success has come from students who are involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, those seeking jobs in multinational companies, and those working with foreign colleagues, academia and bureaucracy. Just our most basic beginners lesson will have the student finishing the lesson with basic telephone/e-mail skills in Georgian, as well as survival Georgian should a short stay in the country be needed.
Those wishing to learn Georgian in groups of 2 or more together (Two-to-One Georgian Lessons or Small Group In-Company Georgian Lessons) can sign up for our group classes. All students must be at nearly the same level of Georgian proficiency, must have the same needs from the language, and must be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn do not propose group sizes or more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Georgian Lessons can occur with up to 12 people.
Boston
Boston is the capital city of the commonwealth of Massachusetts and the biggest city in New England, housing around 600,000 people - though as the economic center of the region the city's population often swells to around 1.2 million during the day. The city is very cosmopolitan in terms of the cultures littered around the metropolitan area - there are sizeable communities of Irish, Italian, West Indian, Vietnamese, Bosnian and Croatian people, meaning there are different languages being spoken throughout Boston. With its reputation as a great hub of learning in the area (more than 100 colleges and universities are found in the Greater Boston Area), the city is a superb location to learn a new language.
