These German lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students with a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival German - required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population, students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, German culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular German examination.
These German lessons are driven towards people who have a requirement to learn German to bolster their work output. For novices, you will find it useful to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and once you have become more proficient then reading and writing will come to the fore. Typical students include those concerned with import/export, those seeking work in multinational companies, international negotiations, and anyone working with international colleagues or administration. Even on our most rudimentary beginners lesson, students can expect to finish the lesson with decent telephone and e-mail German, as well as a good enough grip on the language for a short trip to the country.
The German lessons are also available for 2 or more people studying together (Two-to-One German Lesson or Small Group In-Company German Lesson). All participants must have the same level, the same business or general language needs and be able to study at the same time in the same location. The booking must be made for all participants at the same time. Listen & Learn do not recommend group classes of more than 6-8 people although In-Company Taster German Lessons can be run with up to 12 people.

German Testimonials
"The German course is going great. German is a very difficult language - I didn't think I would be able to understand the grammar, but it is starting to make sense! Susanne has been a great teacher. She has so much patience and we actually have fun during our time together. "
Honolulu
The commerce capital of the Hawaiian Islands, Honolulu may look, at first glance, like any other bustling American city. But closer inspection reveals a place that has both accepted its relatively new American status, but stayed true to the native roots that have helped the islands thrive and survive for generations. The primary industry in Honolulu is tourism, with millions of people flying in every year to enjoy the tropical climate. The number one tourist attraction in the city is the Pearl Harbor Memorial, which commemorates the bombing of American troops there (and led to America's entrance into WWII). There are hundreds of foreign languages that can benefit you in Honolulu, but Japanese is a great place to start. Japanese tourists and businesspeople make up a significant percentage of the community on any given day, so speaking the language is a potential benefit.
