Our German speakers, fully qualified to teach their native tongue, can train you and, if need be, the rest of your group at a time that is suitable to you, at your home or place of work. Sessions can take place on the day of your choosing - even weekends - and at the time you want: whether it be morning, afternoon or evening. If circumstances arise where your home or office is not convenient, the classes can be held at your trainer's office. Resources for the course are provided for you.
These German lessons fit a broader spectrum, and can be useful for those who need different things from the language. Most beginner students will have a handle of survival German by the end of their course, which will provide them without enough German to communicate at least at a basic level during short trips to the country, but those who require more would benefit greatly from these sessions. Typical students have been those eager to travel all over the world, those buying overseas property, those with foreign spouses, aficionados of German culture and those who just wish to pass a particular German exam.
Those who would benefit the most from these German tutorials are those who feel they need to learn German to help them out in their business lives. For starters, learning salutations and business etiquette is integral; once these have been practiced then reading and writing courses can start. Typical studiers have been those involved in international import/export, negotiations and acquisitions, those in multinational companies requiring another language, and those working in any way with international governments and relevant administration. Just our simplest course for beginners will have students finishing the lessons with basic telephone and e-mail German, as well as survival German should a visit to the country be necessary.
Those wishing to learn German in groups of 2 or more together (Two-to-One German Courses or Small Group In-Company German Courses) can sign up for our group classes. All students must be at nearly the same level of German proficiency, must have the same needs from the language, and must be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn do not propose group sizes or more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster German Courses can occur with up to 12 people.

German Testimonials
"The German course is going great. German is a very difficult language - I didn't think I would be able to understand the grammar, but it is starting to make sense! Susanne has been a great teacher. She has so much patience and we actually have fun during our time together. "
Markham
Technically a part of the Toronto metropolitan area, Markham still has many of the rights of an independent city. Markham is growing fast too, with 260,000 residents and is expected growth of over 5% per year for the next several years. Considered by many to be the 'Silicon Valley' of Canada, Markham is home to some of the leading names in the tech world, including: Motorola, IBM, Apple and Sun Microsystems. Being one of the few major cities in Canada with such a tech-focus has made Markham a city in demand. Thousands move there every year to join the web-based workforce. Learning a new language in Markham is a great idea, as the Internet economy knows no borders and the global spread of web 2.0 will put those who speak multiple languages in high demand.
