German lessons of this type are broader and are aimed towards students with a variety of requirements. While all beginner level students will cover survival German - needed for short visits to countries where English isn't widely spoken, or if you wish to 'go local'; those studying German usually go in different directions at this point, depending on what they need. Those who have benefitted from these German classes have been those investing in or buying property overseas, those married to overseas nationals, people setting off on a round-the-world trip, enthusiasts in German culture, and those enthusiastic to pass a specific exam in German.
These lessons in German are meant for those that feel that learning German would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefitted have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required, and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even on our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone German and e-mail German skills for communicating, as well as survival German if a short visit to the country is needed.
Lessons in German are also accessible for 2 or more studying in tandem (Two-to-One German Lesson or Small Group In-Company German Lesson). All those involved must have around the same experience of the language, similar needs of areas of proficiency, and must be able to work at the same time and place. Bookings must be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advise classes of more than 6-8 people, although In-Company Taster German sessions can be run with as many as 12 people.

Saskatoon
Saskatoon is known throughout Canada as the 'Bridge City' for the picturesque bridges than span the local waterways and enhance the already magnificent look of the city. Mining and oil companies have long been the basis for much of the commerce in town, but that is showing signs of changing. The city of Saskatoon is also home to some of the most advanced scientific research currently being performed in Canada. The University of Saskatchewan and the private bio-engineering companies in the city are both fueling a new economy that is based on research and technological advances in farming and genetics. The people of Saskatoon are an interesting hybrid as well, with many coming from the far away Pacific Rim or Africa. Learning a new language in Saskatoon means building bridges that will take you anywhere you wish to go. The global economy and the Internet have made the world smaller and knowing second or third languages can help you take advantage of it all.
