Italian Lessons in Corpus Christi

You and your group can be trained by our native speaker qualified Italian teachers, and can meet at your place of work or home at a time convenient to you. Tutorials can take place any day of the week, including weekends, and can be scheduled for the morning, afternoon or evening. If your home or office is not suitable for you, you can attend the lesson at the teacher's offices. You will be provided with all relevant lesson materials.

Italian 1 to 1 General

These lessons in Italian are wider-ranging in their nature, and are driven towards students who have a variety of differing needs. All beginner students will expect to study enough survival Italian to get them through a short visit to the country, those staying on with the lesson can progress differently, depending on their individual requests and requirements. Italian 1 to 1 Business

Italian lessons of this type are aimed towards those that need to learn Italian to aid them with their employment. For those just starting out, it is integral to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and reading and writing can be adopted once the simple precepts are out of the way. Success has come from students who are involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, those seeking jobs in multinational companies, and those working with foreign colleagues, academia and bureaucracy. Just our most basic beginners lesson will have the student finishing the lesson with basic telephone/e-mail skills in Italian, as well as survival Italian should a short stay in the country be needed.

Italian Group Lessons

2 or more people can benefit studying Italian together as these Italian lessons are also offered to groups (Two-to-One Italian Lesson or Small Group In-Company Italian Lesson). Every student must have the same degree of knowledge of the language, the same business or language needs and the ability to study at the same time and place as everybody else. The booking has to be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advocate group sessions of more than 6-8 people, though Taster Italian Lessons can be experienced by up to 12 people.

La casa dell`infancia

Ad otto anni mi sono trasferita a vivere con i miei zii in Villa “Pessagno”, la casa della mia infanzia che non potrò mai dimenticare.

Villa Pessagno era un palazzo a 4 piani con un grande giardino nel retro. I miei zii vivevano al primo piano in un appartamento molto grande, diviso in due ale, con i soffitti molto alti, i pavimenti alla veneziana e circondato da 4 terrazzi lunghi in mattone.

Nell’ala destra della casa c’erano tre stanze, la camera da letto mia e di mia sorella, un bagno grande con la vasca da bagno e la porta di legno vetrata, la cucina in legno con un grande angolo cottura ed un lungo corridoio che collegava le tre stanze.

In mezzo alle due ale della casa c’era la sala da pranzo, l’ingresso ed il salotto. Nella sala da pranzo, vi era un tavolo rotondo , stile Luigi XVI dove la mia famiglia era solita riunirsi con tutto il parentado per festeggiare compleanni, Natale, Pasqua e l’arrivo di un ospite. A sinistra del tavolo c’era un pianoforte. Dietro al tavolo da pranzo c’erano due poltrone imbottite di velluto dove si sedevano mio zio ed i suoi amici dopo il café per chiacchierare e fumare la pipa.

L’ala sinistra della casa contava quattro stanze, la camera da letto degli ospiti, un bagno piccolo con doccia, una stanza in cui la governante stirava e la camera matrimoniale dei miei zii.

Il vano che adoravo di più era l’ingresso perché era grande quanto una sala da ballo con un tappeto rosso gigante sul quale trascorrevo pomeriggi interi a ballare Cajkovskij.
