Japanese 1 to 1 General

Japanese lessons of this type are broader and are aimed towards students with a variety of requirements. While all beginner level students will cover survival Japanese - needed for short visits to countries where English isn't widely spoken, or if you wish to 'go local'; those studying Japanese usually go in different directions at this point, depending on what they need. Those who have benefitted from these Japanese classes have been those investing in or buying property overseas, those married to overseas nationals, people setting off on a round-the-world trip, enthusiasts in Japanese culture, and those enthusiastic to pass a specific exam in Japanese.

Japanese 1 to 1 Business

These Japanese lessons are driven towards people who have a requirement to learn Japanese to bolster their work output. For novices, you will find it useful to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and once you have become more proficient then reading and writing will come to the fore. Typical students include those concerned with import/export, those seeking work in multinational companies, international negotiations, and anyone working with international colleagues or administration. Even on our most rudimentary beginners lesson, students can expect to finish the lesson with decent telephone and e-mail Japanese, as well as a good enough grip on the language for a short trip to the country.

Japanese Facts

Japanese lacks 'phonemes' (sounds) that are present in most other languages - for example, Japanese have no 'L' sound, and use their own sound to replace it, which sounds more like an 'R'

The subject or object of a sentence in Japanese does not need to be announced if it is clear from the context - this is called being a 'pro-drop' language

Japanese is mainly spoken in Japan, but there are over 130 million speakers around the world

Aurora

Aurora is the third largest city in the scenic state of Colorado. Once a historical footnote, (in 1955, President Dwight D. Eisenhower recovered from a heart attack there) the city is now considered an ideal place to live because of the bucolic setting and it's close to proximity to Denver, the biggest and most well-known urban area in the state. In fact, it is routinely named in annual 'Healthiest Places to Live' lists among American cities. For this reason, many of Denver's professional athletes and business luminaries call Aurora home. The city experienced a significant period of growth in the 1980's when the population doubled – going from 75,000 to 150,000 people in the span of just under ten years. Aurora is predominantly white, as are most cities in Colorado, but over 20% of the residents are Hispanic and 5% are Native American. Learning a new language Aurora can open the door to new adventures, business opportunities and life experiences.
