These lessons in Japanese are wider-ranging in their nature, and are driven towards students who have a variety of differing needs. All beginner students will expect to study enough survival Japanese to get them through a short visit to the country, those staying on with the lesson can progress differently, depending on their individual requests and requirements. Whether you are buying property in a foreign country, married to a foreign national, planning a round-the-world trip, interested in Japanese history and culture, or if you simply want to attain a particular level of Japanese, this is the choice for you.
Japanese lessons of this type are aimed towards those that need to learn Japanese to aid them with their employment. For those just starting out, it is integral to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and reading and writing can be adopted once the simple precepts are out of the way. Success has come from students who are involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, those seeking jobs in multinational companies, and those working with foreign colleagues, academia and bureaucracy. Just our most basic beginners lesson will have the student finishing the lesson with basic telephone/e-mail skills in Japanese, as well as survival Japanese should a short stay in the country be needed.
The Japanese lessons are also available for 2 or more people studying together (Two-to-One Japanese Lesson or Small Group In-Company Japanese Lesson). All participants must have the same level, the same business or general language needs and be able to study at the same time in the same location. The booking must be made for all participants at the same time. Listen & Learn do not recommend group classes of more than 6-8 people although In-Company Taster Japanese Lessons can be run with up to 12 people.
Japan's complex social distinctions are reflected in the language's use of 'honorifics', where special word forms, verb endings, suffixes and vocabulary are used depending on the social status of the people conversing

Japanese Testimonials
"I really enjoyed the program of my Japanese course. Eiko was really organized with my lessons and really professional. She has been as pleasant and as reliable as she has been since I started. I wish I can continue with the course, but I will be moving to Taiwan very soon. I really appreciate your help! Best Regards, Johnny,"
Garland
A suburb of Dallas, Garland is a growing metropolis of over 200,000 people, making it the 86th most populated city in the United States. Close proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth area makes Garland a prime location for top businesses who need access to big city but want to get more office space for their dollar. Recent years have seen a number of public works projects and renovations get underway all of which promise to transform the downtown area into a modern urban presence, while still respecting the historic nature of the state of Texas. Like many of Texas' largest communities, there is a considerable Hispanic presence in Garland, meaning that speaking Spanish can be an invaluable resource for residents. There are also a growing number of Asian countries represented in the citizenry of Garland, including Laotian, Chinese, Korean and Japanese and thus, these are languages which could be quite beneficial as well.
