Zulu 1 to 1 General

These Zulu lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students with a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Zulu - required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population, students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Zulu culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Zulu examination.

Zulu 1 to 1 Business

These Zulu lessons are driven towards people who have a requirement to learn Zulu to bolster their work output. For novices, you will find it useful to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and once you have become more proficient then reading and writing will come to the fore. Typical students include those concerned with import/export, those seeking work in multinational companies, international negotiations, and anyone working with international colleagues or administration. Even on our most rudimentary beginners lesson, students can expect to finish the lesson with decent telephone and e-mail Zulu, as well as a good enough grip on the language for a short trip to the country.

Detroit

Did you know that the name Detroit comes from the Detroit River? Not that there's anything particularly remarkable or inspired about that. But the name of the river in French is L'étroit du Lac Erie ("The strait of Lake Erie"), and D'étroit means "At the strait." Well there you go. Detroit has gone a long way as a centre for international diversity and language learning since its founding in 1701 by the Frenchman Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac, yet Francophone traces are still evident today. Forget a study abroad program in Brussels; Detroit has the largest Belgian concentration outside of Belgium! Detroit abounds in Italian, Greek, German, Polish, and Arabic ethnic communities due to the twentieth century burgeoning of the automobile industry. Detroit's linguistic diversity gives the language learner the best opportunity for mother tongue tuition and everyday exposure to their language of choice.
