Globalization allows kids from Sweden, Ethiopia, Japan or Peru to grow up watching the same cartoons, or their parents to laugh at the same sitcoms, and their teenage siblings to have their first kiss watching the same film at the movie theater. Many TV shows are broadcast on a global scale and transcend borders and distances. Nevertheless, there are some hidden details in these shows that can't escape cultural differences: the translation of regionalisms and especially of the names of cartoon characters.
