...often through luck rather than through skill or ability.


Jermaine: Damn!  I am so pissed at always losing to you at pool!

Frank: Can’t blame me dude – I’ve just got skill!

Jermaine: You sniped it more like.

Frank: Whatever.  I won again.  Loser!


It can also be used as an adjective – sniper.  A sniper is a person who wins or is successful because of sheer luck and good fortune.
