Chinese 1 to 1 General

This set of Chinese tutorials are less specific and more targeted at those who want to get a range of different things from learning Chinese. Even though all novice students will cover survival Chinese: enough Chinese to make a visit to the country or make good contacts with the locals, but what do you do from there? It depends on your needs. Those who have benefitted from these lessons have been those moving or investing overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people who love to travel all over the world, those interested in Chinese culture, and those who just want to pass a specific examination in Chinese.

Chinese 1 to 1 Business

These lessons in Chinese are meant for those that feel that learning Chinese would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefitted have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required, and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even on our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Chinese and e-mail Chinese skills for communicating, as well as survival Chinese if a short visit to the country is needed.

Kitchener

The town of Kitchener recently celebrated its sesquicentennial, and the city has seen a lot of growth in those 150 years. Once known as 'Berlin', Kitchener has gone from a few thousand residents to over 200,000 as listed in the most recent Canadian census in the area. Kitchener is a get-your-hands-dirty, blue collar kind of city, with many of the top industries in town revolving around the automotive parts business. The city experienced a boost recently with the opening of a new university campus in the heart of the city. In addition to the jobs this school created, it has also brought an influx of young, ambitious people into the area. Now, there are more languages than ever being spoken in Kitchener – making it a great time to learn a second language.
