Our Estonian speakers, fully qualified to teach their native tongue, can train you and, if need be, the rest of your group at a time that is suitable to you, at your home or place of work. Sessions can take place on the day of your choosing - even weekends - and at the time you want: whether it be morning, afternoon or evening. If circumstances arise where your home or office is not convenient, the classes can be held at your trainer's office. Resources for the lesson are provided for you.
These Estonian lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students with a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Estonian - required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population, students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Estonian culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Estonian examination.
These lessons in Estonian are meant for those that feel that learning Estonian would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefitted have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required, and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even on our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Estonian and e-mail Estonian skills for communicating, as well as survival Estonian if a short visit to the country is needed.
Lessons in Estonian are also accessible for 2 or more studying in tandem (Two-to-One Estonian Lesson or Small Group In-Company Estonian Lesson). All those involved must have around the same experience of the language, similar needs of areas of proficiency, and must be able to work at the same time and place. Bookings must be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advise classes of more than 6-8 people, although In-Company Taster Estonian sessions can be run with as many as 12 people.
