The type of courses we offer:

Face-to-Face 1-to-1 (Individual) General Yiddish

These Yiddish lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students with a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Yiddish - required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population, students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Yiddish culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Yiddish examination. Face-to-Face 1-to-1 (Individual) Business Yiddish

These lessons in Yiddish are meant for those that feel that learning Yiddish would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefitted have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required, and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even on our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Yiddish and e-mail Yiddish skills for communicating, as well as survival Yiddish if a short visit to the country is needed. Face-to-Face Closed (Private) Group General or Business Yiddish

Those wishing to learn Yiddish in groups of 2 or more together (Two-to-One Yiddish Lessons or Small Group In-Company Yiddish Lessons) can sign up for our group classes. All students must be at nearly the same level of Yiddish proficiency, must have the same needs from the language, and must be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn do not propose group sizes or more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Yiddish Lessons can occur with up to 12 people. Skype, Google Meet or Zoom Online 1-to-1 (Individual) General or Business Yiddish

You and your group can be trained by our native speaker qualified Yiddish teachers, and can meet at your place of work or home at a time convenient to you. Tutorials can take place any day of the week, including weekends, and can be scheduled for the morning, afternoon or evening. If your home or office is not suitable for you, you can attend the lesson at the teacher's offices. You will be provided with all relevant lesson materials. Inquire now about our Yiddish Courses.

The Yiddish lessons are also available for 2 or more people studying together (Two-to-One Yiddish Lesson or Small Group In-Company Yiddish Lesson). All participants must have the same level, the same business or general language needs and be able to study at the same time in the same location. The booking must be made for all participants at the same time.
