These lessons in Japanese are wider-ranging in their nature, and are driven towards students who have a variety of differing needs. All beginner students will expect to study enough survival Japanese to get them through a short visit to the country, those staying on with the lesson can progress differently, depending on their individual requests and requirements. Whether you are buying property in a foreign country, married to a foreign national, planning a round-the-world trip, interested in Japanese history and culture, or if you simply want to attain a particular level of Japanese, this is the choice for you.
These Japanese Lessons are intended for people who really need to learn Japanese to help make that difference in their work. For beginners, it will be useful to learn greetings and basic business etiquette, at higher levels reading and then writing become more important. Typical students include those involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where an additional language is required, and those working with international colleagues, academia and government. Even on our most basic lesson for Beginners, students should expect to end the lesson with basic Telephone Japanese and e-mail Japanese skills for communications as well as Survival Japanese required for short visits to a country.
2 or more people can benefit studying Japanese together as these Japanese lessons are also offered to groups (Two-to-One Japanese Lesson or Small Group In-Company Japanese Lesson). Every student must have the same degree of knowledge of the language, the same business or language needs and the ability to study at the same time and place as everybody else. The booking has to be made for all students at the same time. Listen & Learn do not advocate group sessions of more than 6-8 people, though Taster Japanese Lessons can be experienced by up to 12 people.

Japanese Testimonials
"I really enjoyed the program of my Japanese course. Eiko was really organized with my lessons and really professional. She has been as pleasant and as reliable as she has been since I started. I wish I can continue with the course, but I will be moving to Taiwan very soon. I really appreciate your help! Best Regards, Johnny,"
Oyster Bay
As the name suggests, the town of Oyster Bay is thusly named because Dutch settlers in the 1600's arrived and found an ample amount of the finest oysters they had ever eaten. And while this culinary discovery helped propel the economy for many years, the city that stands today thrives because of a diverse business community and a proximity to the hustle and bustle of New York City. Located in Nassau County on Long Island, Oyster Bay is a town of almost 300,000 people, many of whom work in Manhattan during the day and return home to the splendor of their suburban village in the evening. With so many people conducting business in New York City, there has been a spike in demand for language services in Oyster Bay. With business coming more and more from China and the Middle East, Chinese, Mandarin and Arabic are among the 'hottest' languages currently being learned by residents of Oyster Bay.
